A Marriage At Sea

I really, really, enjoyed this book – despite the less than 4 star rating on Goodreads, which is my gage as to whether or not to read a book. Thank goodness I went ahead with this one.

First of all, I love true stories. And more than that, I love true stories of hardship where the hero (or heroine, or both) succeed in the end. (Yes, there is some psychological stuff behind that, lol). Plus I have an affinity with ships and/or boats – can’t imagine why – learning to swim on the Queen Mary maybe? This is such an obscure situation that one can’t help but scratch one’s head at the determination and guts that it took to make it through.
