Here’s my 5 star cat, Hanashi, who I adopted from Siamese Cat Rescue Center in 2006. She is 20 years old this month, still loves to climb into the window seat to watch the birds, and celebrated her 18th birthday by catching a mouse that came inside. She’s very loving, smart, and fierce even though she now weighs 5 lbs. She’s dealing with kidney disease and a liver mass but she still loves to play fetch and greet visitors. She also still scares her “brothers” Tiki and Curry who came from SCRC in 2017. Submitted by June!

Have you tried PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy) pad, and accupuncture? We adopted Minnie (Phoebe) in 2004 from Siamese Rescue. She had a stroke or vestibular and cardiac problems, and the main improvement came from PEMF treatments and accupuncture! You can get battery operated PEMF pads to use at home. Phoebe LOVED both the PEMF and the accupuncture! When we went to the vet for weekly treatment, she EXPECTED everything to be set up for her. She knew when “her” pad was running, and was most displeased when it was not ready for her. She really liked sitting on it, as of other cats. And she LOVED the acupuncture – the vet agreed that it was like she was indicating where she wanted the next needle. She did NOT like the “whisker” point, or one or two others. There is a specific point for kidney function. Her kidney function values improved significantly after she was on the treatments, and we kept them going for the rest of her life. Phoebe had been badly injured before we got her in 2004, and her little body finally gave out on her in 2021. We called her the Empress – she had great presence, and even greater courage. Phoebe was formidable. (We used the OMI pulse pad for her – and I still use her pad for my back every night! PEMF helps with recovery from surgery, etc.)
I love my Gibbs and Ziva who passed at 18.
Hanashi, you are gorgeous!
I have met this Queen and she is purrrfect!! Love you Hanashi!!!
Hanashi is so beautiful! She reminds me of our beautiful Princess Belle who came to live with us in September 2005, our first adoption from Siamese Rescue. I say “live with us” but I really mean “take control of the household.” Her name was “Belle.” Her title was “Princess” and she knew it. Belle left us on the evening of Friday, July 23, 2021, after a blessedly short illness. I still miss her, but I’m so very glad that we were able to live with her for the time we had together.
So beautiful, I miss my boy Finn.💔
