Here’s my 5 star cat, Hanashi, who I adopted from Siamese Cat Rescue Center in 2006. She is 20 years old this month, still loves to climb into the window seat to watch the birds, and celebrated her 18th birthday by catching a mouse that came inside. She’s very loving, smart, and fierce even though she now weighs 5 lbs. She’s dealing with kidney disease and a liver mass but she still loves to play fetch and greet visitors. She also still scares her “brothers” Tiki and Curry who came from SCRC in 2017.
Hanashi is so beautiful! She reminds me of our beautiful Princess Belle who came to live with us in September 2005, our first adoption from Siamese Rescue. I say “live with us” but I really mean “take control of the household.” Her name was “Belle.” Her title was “Princess” and she knew it. Belle left us on the evening of Friday, July 23, 2021, after a blessedly short illness. I still miss her, but I’m so very glad that we were able to live with her for the time we had together.
